Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance – Town & Country Law Charity Partner 2017

Town & Country Law are pleased to announce their charity partner for 2017 is the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is a dedicated Helicopter Emergency Medical Service. They can reach any point in the two counties in less than 20 minutes and on average can transfer a patient to hospital within 8 minutes.

Each mission costs approx £2,100 and they fly an average of 3 missions per day, 365 days of the year. Each year they need to raise £2.1m to keep flying and saving lives.

Here’s an example of the fantastic work they do:

Sara – Road Traffic Collision

“I was involved in a RTC on my way to work in July 2016 travelling on the B1398. I only remember bits of the accident and what happened afterwards, but I do remember Simon was the doctor (colleagues called him ‘Si’) and Jane attended to me at the roadside. I remember being in extreme pain and struggling to breathe. I was very upset when my trousers were being cut off me (Jane comforted me). I started shivering and Jane said she would cover me up.

“I remember being reassured by Simon’s voice (can’t remember what he said!). Of course, the accident has been very traumatic, but my guardian angel was looking out for me – I have significant cuts and bruises but nothing was broken and there are no life-changing injuries. The proficiency and expertise of LNAA inherently saved my life by immediately rushing me to Hull Hospital.

“Please may you thank each and every person who helped on the day. I am forever grateful. I work as a community pharmacist and in my career my patients  have told me that I have positively impacted their lives. The shoe is now on the other foot – there are no words to express my gratitude and appreciation for LNAA. I will be making regular monthly donations – please keep up the  excellent work!”

Best wishes, Sara
